Amd cpu drivers

Specs: Windows 7, 3.099 GHz / 2047 MB
Little bit rusty but when I built a (32 bit win xp) system a few years ago with an Athlonx2 64 processor, I remember installing a driver from the AMD site. Dunno what it was..maybe for proper recognition/running of the dual core.

Anyway if this rings a bell, I've just built a phenon ii 965 quad core system with win7 64 bit installed) (aaargh!) Do I still need to go back to the AMD site & find whatever driver it was first time round? (is it cpuid? ) tia Andy

While I'm at it...my intellimouse optical isn't listed as such...hard to know if the old drivers are better to use than what win7 installs. I hate change.

Wow that sig's out of date!..more pi**ing about.

Allows the system to automatically adjust the CPU speed, voltage and power combination to match the instantaneous user performance need. This package is a user friendly localized software installation of the driver designed for end-users.

That`s why the drivers are !

Here are drivers for XP/2003 OS, but I coudn`t find driver(s) for Windows 7....are you sure they have made Windows 7 drivers ???

There is NO need to install a separate AMD CPU driver… Windows 7 has the AMD CPU driver built-in already!

Tnx for taking the time to find that out probfixer. Been spending all day on google as it is (win7 related) to make software/things would run/need different 64 bit drivers etc etc...but never found out about that. (did find correct drivers for the mouse tho :) Appreciate your time...Have a good new year!
