I use a DNS proxy service called Unlocator which is set up on my router which connects wirelessly (some wired) to the devices in my home. The download speed from my ISP is 120 Mbps down/ 7mbps up and all my devices connect at or a little below these speeds. However, My Xbox one which is hard wired to my router but I experience very slow download and upload speeds when I use the Unlocator dns numbers (router set to manual Dns). All over devices work well except the Xbox. When I set the router to dns automatic the xbox's download and upload speeds are just a fast as the other devices.
It's obvious that Xbox live isn't playing well with I locators DNS proxy. Is there are way to make them play better? Is it that Xbox live is directing to some other public DNS? Please help.
Leave router set to DNS automatic then if that cures the slow speed problem. message edited by phil22
