Error:Your DNS server can't resolve Xbox LIVE

January 30, 2011 at 06:19:38
Specs: Windows 7
I have a new Xbox 360 and I cannot seem to connect properly to the internet. I am using a Linksys BEFSR 41 ver .4 I have no trouble connecting to the internet with the 3 other PC's connected to it, but the xbox will just not.

I get the message Error: "Your DNS server can't resolve Xbox LIVE server names" I have tried to follow the steps in the help forums for xbox but non of it seems to work. I've set my DNS manually as. : 81.167.36.3 and 81.167.36.11

It's a wired connection

The configurations of the linksys router I'm finding rather confusing. I've tried opening some ports but I seem to be missing the mark completely. any help would be appreciated.
