I went to bed the other night with the battery at 63%, the alarm did not go off at 7.00am because the battery was flat as a pancake! I was asleep for heaven's sake....what the?
Depending on which OS you have, in your setting, about phone, there should be something about your battery, and what is using it.
I would look at things like what apps were open at night, if your screen contrast was set to bright and it stayed on, the rate of email checking.
For example I know when I keep the kindle app open on my phone since the last update it syncs a lot more often, this can drain the battery.
Services that are running can also drain the battery.:: mike
