Specs: Android, 1GB (1 Card)
Hello everyone My mother is having a problem with her Velocity Micro Cruz Reader Model number R101 and I was wondering if anyone could be of help. I purchased this item for her in 2011, getting what I could afford at the time and for a few weeks, it was fine. She she was able to get on facebook and youtube relatively with no problems. But soon issues started coming about. First the battery died, which meant my mother had to rely on plugging the reader's adapter in. But now the reader doesn't seem to recognize the adapter anymore, with the text "Please plug in Charger. Charged 0%" showing up on the home page. Along with that she cannot access youtube anymore. When she attempts to watch a video, that loading circle begins to spin..and spin..and spin but nothing else. Also web pages take a very very long time to load and most of the time dont load fully at all, probably because its outdated. I can only find very little about the Velocity Micro Cruz Reader in regards to trouble shooting and what is available we honestly don't understand. I don't own a tablet and and neither of us have smart phones, we barely know what apps are and how to obtain them. Any and all help provided will help immensely. Thanks everyone.

Unfortunately that device got very poor reviews and most of them stated how poorly it was built. It sounds like you reached the end of life for that device. It doesn't even use a standard Android operating system so upgrading is impossible.

Might be time to look at something newer and runs a normal Android OS so you can upgrade and install common programs.

Oh Darn. I was hoping I could at least get her youtube to work, so this purchase wouldn't be completely for naught...
