I have a Dell Venue 8 3840 tablet. A recent update installed the Google keyboard. How do I get the standard keyboard back? I'm assuming there's something in settings which allows you to select a keyboard? Thanks.
There should be an app icon called "Settings" (spanner & screwdriver icon). Look in there.
I looked in the settings app but I could'nt change the keyboard back to the original. Maybe I have to restart? Anyone know what the default keyboard is called? After this, I'm thinking of shutting off auto updates!
Not sure if it's the same but on a phone running Android you go to Settings, System, Language and Input and there's an option to change the keyboard in there.
I guess my question should be: how can I get the original keyboard back? Is there someplace I can uninstall an update?
I just talked a friend who had that happen on their Motorola Razr this morning after the update. We went into the settings and there are no other keyboard options available. So you will either need to download a keyboard layout you like or stick with the new version.
