How to restore my Chromebook to original search engine, instead of the I don't know at all how to do this. I just downloaded something and it made my computer do this.

Often unwanted goodies are pre-checked on downloads so you have to watch out for them, using a Custom Install if available.

Run ADWCleaner, like this:
(blue Download button near top - not anything else on the page).
Download and "Save" the file somewhere. Go to the saved file then double click it to run the Scan. You then have options to remove whatever it shows under each heading in the table that appears below, although it is usually safe to run "Cleaning".

Please copy / paste the log on here so that we have an idea what is going on, even if it resolves the symptom.

If you 'just downloaded something' that caused the problem you also may be able to do a system restore, choosing a date from before the download.
