✔ Best Answer
Try pressing and holding the Bluetooth button on the speaker until you hear an audible beep come from it. On the phone head to Bluetooth devices in settings and try reconnecting.

Also check the volume levels on the phone and speaker unit. Some speakers control the phone volume and others work independently of each other.

If you are listening to music stored on your phone it won't use up any of your data allowance from your telco / ISP. However if you listen to music through an app such as Pandora or Spotify or listen to live streaming from a webpage you will use data.
