I can not get my emails to my Android anymore

Specs: Windows Vista
Android & Outlook Express Conflict - I connected my cox emails to my Outlook Express and now my phone keeps telling me that Authentication failed. Please verify your username/password. I went through Cox & Verizon & they can not help. Username & Password are correct & work with Outlook and on Cox website. Is there a way to correct this issue so I can once again use my phone to receive my emails also?

Check to ensure that your pop3 or imap settings are set correctly. A lot of times you'll find that some servers POP3 addresses are mail.yourserver.com or just yourserver.com. Usernames are also tricky, as with some it can be just username, while others your username is literally username@yourserver.com.

If this fails, take a look at the advanced settings for your email account setup and confirm that the Port numbers for the server are correct. If the host is using a secure login, port numbers might well be different.

It did have to do with my username - it defaulted to my email address with @ISP.net - had to drop that part & presto - life is good again! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!!!
