I don't believe this is possible with the default kernel on the Droid. The Wii doesn't support ad-hoc networks (at least not officially), and the Droid kernel doesn't have Wi-fi Direct capabilities compiled in.

Yes, you can (Or on my phone at least) Depends what phone

On mine (XPERIA PLAY) you have to go settings>wireless & networks>Tethering and Portable Hotspot. Tick Portable WiFi hotspot and adjust it through the settings (Add password and so on) On other phones it may be different but just look around the settings if it's not there go on to way 2:

On other phones you may have to root (THE DARK SIDE) so google that up (ROOT 'Phone MODEL') or you could try SuperOneClick ( it works with most phones. Then you just have to search Tether on the droid market and install & configure that.
