My wife bought an Android phone today. Salesperson set up my wife's home email account on it. Now, on her hard wired desktop and my wi-fi laptop, we can't send or receive messages on that account. We keep getting the following error message: Account: 'pop.charter.net', Server: 'pop.charter.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR [IN-USE] account is locked by another session or for maintenance, try again.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92
We use WIndows Live email (used to be Outlook Express). Our ISP is Charter.
I've tried to find the solution at Charter - Windows Live Mail - Android websites, but nothing worked.
Any suggestions? Thanks,vandal67
That's because it's not possible for two or more devices to be signed in to the same email account at the same time. So make sure you sign out of the email account on the Android device before you try using the same email account on another device.
thanks, Phil. We will install our email account back on Android, be sure we log out, and see what happens. Will let u know. vandal67
Your solution was correct Phil. Thanks again. vandal67
