Asus T100 not opening

February 2, 2015 at 08:41:25
Specs: Linux
Will only get to boot up screen and hangs there. It will not switch off, only reboot. The only way to shut down is to switch off and when the screen goes blank,to hold in the reset button for 20 secs.
Hope that you can help.

Please edit out your email address. We only do this in our spare times, so we only use email addresses in exceptional circumstances (such as sending files). If you leave it there the spammers search engines will find it and send you increasing junk email forever.

Try this:
Turn off, remove from power, remove main battery. Now hold the Power Off/On button down for 20 seconds. This slight variation might make all the difference. Re-assemble and see if it helps.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Hi Derek
I can't seem to get back in to edit.
The tablet is a sealed unit and I cannot remove the battery. I tried removing the tablet from the keyboard but this made no difference.
Thanks for trying

It was worth trying I guess. Keep watching for someone more familiar with tablets. In the meantime see this - sounds a bit like what you've already tried though:

I rarely raise new posts but assumed there was an "Edit This Message" link on the left of your original post.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
