Android Write Protected issue

Specs: Windows Vista
How can I remove write protected from android Samsung s2

I cannot delete photo and files from phone.

I have also tried to remove files and folders when connected with usb cable to my pc.

Please help me.

If the files you want to erase are on a memory-card, make sure the card is not write-protected by the little sliding lever that's on the edge of it.

Since you want to mess with permissions, you'll probably need root.

Step 1 a)
Have you obtined Root?
if not follow on how to do so.

1 b) if you have then Then go to the play store and get FX file manager AND the FX Root Addon. (other file managers are available, but this one is tops (speaking from experience))

2) If you open fx and choose 'system (root)'

2.5) Press allow/permit/grant access (if you have Superuser or equivalent)

3) Find the file you want, then long press on it>Details>Tap on the grid>Put Xs in the write boxes (tap it once)>Press OK

You should be finished.
