Solved Android tablet battery losing its power

January 28, 2017 at 09:31:45
Specs: Windows
Battery power. My Android Nexus 10 tablet has always had excellent battery power (roughly 9 hours on a full charge) but all of a sudden it is barely lasting a third of that. Nothing has changed as far as I know; none of the apps installed is taking up too much power apart from the screen itself. I've seen suggestions like doing a factory reset but I'm nervous of losing everything and not getting it back. The Nexus is about three years old but is not intensively used. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the advice. Call me naive but until I checked some of your sites I didn't realise that you could buy and fit a new battery yourself - there's even a You Tube video of how to do it! I thought the whole thing was sealed for life, when for around £30 I can get a new battery and fit it!
