Hi!

My battery went from 90% charge to 23% last night in 7 hours, the phone is telling me that Android alone ate 63% then it goes to cell standby 6%, i'm pretty sure that wifi was off, anyway i left it on a couple of times and it never drained the battery....oh and brightness is on automatic(i don't use the phone while spleeping, so this shouldn't be an issue)

Do you have any ideas??? I'm running lolipop.....Thanks!

Don't you hate it when your pc....ummm, nevermind.

Go through "all" the apps; check that there isn't one (or more) that's actually online as it were in that it's polling out for info/updates etc.; that you don't have something like a satnav app clocking away...

Also try a simple reboot routine - not being an Android user I can't advise how you do it; but presumably it's similar to Apple.

Check for bluetooth/wireless radio, live wallpapers, and weather/stock market apps . These tend to kill batteries.

What model do you have, and what carrier (if its a phone). Sometimes there is bloat ware that gets updated that has a constant drain.

I have a Zenfone 2 laser on Telus(Canada) i use wifi regularly but disable it when i'm done, once in a blue moon blue tooth e.g. always off, i have acuweather, always on, but to refresh i have to enable wifi(don't have internet on my plan) and no wireless radio.

I'm an ex microsoft phone user, new to android, and the ammount of update on android is almost frightening, every time i charge my phone i leave wifi on and sure enough there's always an update on something....the one that makes my laugh is the dialer update, i mean how often do you need this thing to update? like once a week, what's up with that!?!?

I also disable my actual data connection when I don't need to be "on-line" as it were. I use my home broadband/wifi to "surf, get mail etc. when chez-moi/at home. Only enable data when out and about and need to check mail or use the www... Saves unnecessary use of data allowance; and likely battery resources too...
