Subject: Default folder image problem
OS: win xp
CPU/Ram: P-4, 1 GB
Model/Manufacturer: DELL
Comment:

whenever i create a new folder, the folder pic is not the dafault yellow image, instead a floppy image. I have to get the dafault pic back through the 'Change Icon' option. How can i correct it?

jueniffer10, Start your computer in SAFE mode then estart it in Normal mode. This will rebuild the iconcache.db file and may correct the problem.

You could also download Tweak UI at the link below. After you install it you'll find it in Satrt>Programs>Powertoys for Windows XP>Tweak UI. Open it and under Repair then choose Rebuild Icons.
