Comment:
My PC use WinXP home edition, I can not find Chinese language under language in control panel. I was tried window update, it also did not list chinese language need download. How do I can download or find chinese simplified for internet explorer ?
Are XP Pro and Home's installation programs different? I'm running Pro, and got my Chinese (as well as Jap and Korean) installed through the initial (yes, when installing XP) installation program. I don't quite remember what the setup program asked me exactly -- all I can remember is that you'll see two buttons on that particular menu (one on top and one below). Click the one on top, and cycle to the advanced tab or something like that. There'll be an option to install "eastern languages". After clicking on the box that will enable the eastern languages, xp setup will procede to installing 200mb+ worth of data. After this is done, you can go back to the initial menu I mentioned earlier -- the one with the two buttons. Click on the lower one and ADD the input languages you require.
Open Control Panel, go to Regional and Language Options. Click on the Languages tab and check "Install files for East Asian Languages". Have your WinXp Cd handy and it will install the Chinese language for you.
