Hi guys.

I've newly built a computer for my first time but I'm experiencing a problem.

When I switch on my PSU, A blue light lights up on my motherboard and the "power" on my front display lights up. But none of the fans or other components starts. CPU, Graphics card, psu fan... nothing is responding.

Any suggestions on what I should do? I think I've plugged in all the wires to the right places etc.

System spesifics:

Motherboard: XFX nFORCE 680iLTsli
CPU: Intel core 2 duo quad Q6600 2.4Ghz
GPU: XFX gFORCE 8800GTS 512MB
PSU: Chill innovation 520W
RAM: Crucial DDR2 BallistiX PC6400 2048MB
HD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB

Did you bench test everything before assembly? This should be posted in the General Hardware Forum. PM Justin Weber and ask him to move the thread.

Echoing Jeffiner... and also suggest you carefully check that all power connectors are the "correct" way round (if it is possble for them to be otherwise); that they are properly seated etc... (Obviously one does this with no power applied to the system; power cord disconnected/removed entirely...).

If you're happy with a volt-meter... go across psu outputs to check if the correct voltages are present too. Do this with the psu connected to the motherbord, and also with no load applied (i.e. the psu o/p connectors are not attached to the motherboard).

And to re-echo Jeffiner... repost in the hardware forum - if Justin doesn't relocate the post for you?
