I did get plenty of trojans. I was informed by the http://www.stop-sign.com free scanner. Now today I got the shock of a life-time when I scanned my computer at :
http://www.bitdefender.com/scan/Msie/index.php and was told I had the trojan: Trojan.Downloader.Gen in file:C:\Documents and Settings\Datorn\Lokala inställningar\Temp\EACDownload\defscan_install.exe suspect: Trojan.Downloader.Gen
I could hardly believe my eyes when I search for the file and trojan and found this site:

I who trusted them so much! I feel so utterly duped, completely taken in and credulous.Even though I think one should ought to trust such companies. But now I know better. It is a scandal!

And by the way it is a spyware too. Not only a trojan-downloader.
I did admired them for that they found so many trojans where other fails to do so. But alas (darn ) how I fooled myself ( with their active help)They wanna make an impression of being helpful and anti-trojans anti-spyware etc...
But are the worst ones themselves!

Pestpatrol deletes StopSign, not installs it.

I do of course not work for eantology.I am complaining about them. It is them I warn for, don't you understand that.
I trusted them, and was getting disappointed when I found out that they are nothing but a big bluff thanks to pestpatrol and bitdefender and also the searchengines. Would I ever had found out else? I couldn't believe that Stop-Sign.com was producing and downloaded the viruses and trojans that they found and warned for.Probably to scare people to buy their product. I did get paniced when I saw all the trojans I had got. The trojans did also make my computer not work for surfing for a while ( this has happened in rounds) I had to learn to clean the hard disk because of it. That is the only good thing with the all of it.But that is not thanks to stop-sign but the one who tought me that.
How could you come to that conclusion. I have not been writing one single positive word about stop-sign.I do warn for them!

But on the other hand so do I think pestpatrol do exaggerate too. Because when I did uninstall stop-sign I couldn't find any remainders from it. They are gone as far as I can see. But the file :defscan_install.exe is a trojan downloader(Troja.Downloader.Gen ).It is stop-sign.com's file!!!! How else could you interpret that fact than that they are using a trojan downloader??
In my hunt for security I was entrapped in stop-sign's trap.
I have now scanned my computer again at :http://www.bitdefender.com and I had no viruses or trojans etc.. since I have removed stop-sign.com.
I have heard that you shall never have two anti-virusprograms installed at the same time.Because they are not compatible with each other.
I wonder if it is truth that stop-sign has a trojan-downloader or if it is all big mistake.
I know how many trojans I did get. But there are other ways to get trojans too. So I can't say for 100 % sure that it was all because of stop-sign.But I do strongly suspect that now.
Or is pestpatrol a bad competitor to stop-sign and a bitter enemy?! Judge for yourself!Maybe it is a hacker that cause all mess.Or maybe it is the both!

Hi again! I think I have to alter my apprehension one bit.Maybe I could have made an misjudgement .I am not so very sure any longer that I can blame them for all the trojans. I don't trust them like I did before but I think I was too hard on them anyway.They are maybe good in some kind of way .Maybe they have got better intentions than I thought. But I must say that I feel sorry for that I can not trust them . But maybe they are good in some kind of way. Their popup stopper saved me a lot of job. I don't want to sound like an ungreatful.
I have found another antivirus-program that feels more trustworthy for me. So I do say good bye to stop-sign. And hope they will become more honest , they have the basic conditions to make something good out of the program.And I hope they will success and start to prioritize people's right to get a
correct description about what a program includes.And respect their personal integrity . Never lie to your customers!It takes a lot of time to build up confidence but a very short time to demolish it.Think about that!

I believe you have good reason not to trust Stop-Sign (i.e. eAnthology).

I tried Stop-Sign's (eAnthology's) free Internet virus scan about 9 months ago and the program installed itself on my system (without my permission or knowledge)while it was scanning my system for viruses. Then Stop-Sign notified me that it had found a dangerous virus. It warned me that I needed to buy their program to remove this virus.

Because I had an Norton's (Symantec's)Antivirus program on my computer, and I scan for viruses frequently, I found this virus warning surprising. I subsequently searched Symantec's Internet virus database only to find out that the virus Stop-Sign warned me about was a hoax virus that didn't exist. I then checked the McAfee's virus database which confirmed the virus was a hoax.

Lastly, I had a lot of trouble uninstalling Stop Sign. There are a lot of Scams on the Internet and Stop-Sign appears to be one of them.

Stop sign is a compleat hoax and a fraud
and it had actually instaled the viruses or
at least some dummy ones on my
system after I unintentionally and
accidently downloading "stop sign"
it has damaged and corrupted my
system. It is plain and simply a virus
itself.

And if you think you can purge it all from
your system you are wrong. Some parts
of it are APS that can not be removed or
renamed even in DOS witch I am well
Versed in. I'm not some average user
either . I have proved it to myself without a
shadow of a doubt. they are busted! Here
is why.

I had just done a compleat re install on a
new drive and was looking for drivers for
video and stuff to get my machine running
smooth when a pop up on some site said
"spy ware scan"
when I clicked what I thought was exit it
downloaded a whole bunch of crap to my
drive. And then scanned and so called
detected all these "Trojans" and
corrupted system files. And when I
checked further I found all the download
dates on these so called viruses were the
same date and time as that day. They
were downloaded by 'Stop sign"
This is about the scummiest thing I have
seen yet on the web.
There were no viruses on my computer till
stop sign put them their. And my system
discs are not corrupted!!
STOP SIGN IS A SCAM period.
They trick you into it and then destroy your
system. They change all your settings to
go to their site or their advertisers without
your consent or permission. I.E. was
added all kinds of extra bars and pop up
adds.
A class action suit was filed against them
but I don't think they have even got a slap
on the wrist. They are clever deceivers
and liars. BEWARE!! BOYCOTT!!.
I now have to spend hours and money
wiping my hard drive clean and
reinstaling everything to get rid of this
useless crap. No they did not make a
dime off me but they did cost me a lot of
dime and time and lost work.

I hate people like this and they are the
reason the net has turned into a cesspool
of greedy little punks and corporate
criminals. Witch these people are! they
have my big F you

Thank you for your stories! Now I am certain that they are just as bad as I feared the most. It was long ago since I felt the same disappointment over something like I feel about stop-signs grotesque betrayal to me and others. I myself have cleaned my hard disk and yes there are a lot of things that goes away with the bad stuff. But I prefer that before having that crap (stop-sign) on my computer.
And yes I feel so utterly duped. But on the other hand so did I thought that criminals were stopped on the net to protect ordinary honest people from their evil deeds.
But it seems as if the net is more like a paradise for scoundrels.
And they can act more or less unhindered.
I did not only downloaded stop-sign one but many times. Even after I had cleaned my hard disk. I wonder why I didn't found out earlier about their disreptuable business and woke up. I was really blind for their faults and convinced that something else caused my problems.
Now I know for sure that I better never in any kind of way uses stop-sign again.
