Hello, I'm sorry but im a computer thicko. I have read previous forum posts on this issue but need something more simple. My external hardrive has changed all my folders to shortcuts and every one regardless of previous content is showing a size of 2KB. When i try to open the file it says Windows cannot find E:\RECYCLER\0xFFD12566.exe I understand from previous posts that this is a virus and i need to remove the virus then change the names of the files to restore them? Problem is....as before....im a complete computer dunce and would appreciate any help with link or simple instructions on how i can do this. Many Thanks in advance |
To restore the files and folders on the External hard drive...Follow this Open a command prompt as Admin. attrib -h -r -s /s /d X:\*.* Note:Where X is the Drive Letter of the External hard drive |
