Look at using the lexicals f$device and f$getdvi. Using a combination of those can get you most of the information. Why do you want to do this? Can you explain more of what you're looking for?

i am a student.....i am learning openvms.....i was given given an assignment ......this was one of the questions.....i did not understand the help for f$getdvi....can u please give me the script or explain in detail how to do this
