Ok, this should help you.
When you get this, just boot off the performa CD you get with the box. Then go to the 'system files' bit of the CD and get the 'finder' 'system enabler' system update files and drag them into the system folder and replace the old ones with them (the list may have been wrong but you get the gist) then boot up from the HD and hopefully you'll be set, and without losing any files (well it works for me)
Hope it helps
: : When I boot my Mac Preforma 550, I get a flashing question mark during start up. When I use Disk First Aid from the Utilities disk that came with my computer, it tells me that is sees a problem that it cannot fix. When I tell it to Restore, it tells me that it doesn't see a hard disk to restore to. Does anyone have a solution to my problem. Maybe some can tell me how to reinitialize my hard drive and reinstall the systems files onto it. If so, please post a message here or send me an email at bigj141@aol.com
: : Thanks.
