How to reset Compaq Recovery Disc Creation on XP

Here is how to reset the Compaq Presario CD Recovery Program.
1.Navigate to C:\windows\Creator

2.Open STRCDC.INI in notepad.

3. Search for a setting called (no quotes) "Rewritable_Support=1"

Then change the 1 to 0 and save.

"Rewritable_Support=0"

4.Make new recovery discs that you need so much...

NOTE-I booted and did this with the Ultimate Boot CD for Windows, if it doesn't work within your local copy of XP just boot a copy of that or a Live Linux Distro..
