Edit Recycle Bin name

By: Mattio

Some of you may be annoyed at seeing "Recycle Bin" all the time... Maybe you want to call it something different... Call it "crap" ?
Whatever you want.

This is for Windows XP, Vista already allows this function.

First of all, Goto 'Start' > 'Run'
Type
Regedit
This will bring up your Pc's Registry.

Now on the left hand side. Follow this directory.

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08 -00AA002F954E}\ShellFolder

It may take some time to find it, just look at the first bit of the code, there is only one starting with 645FF

in shell folder, you wan't to double click "Callforattributes"
This will bring up a box, delete the number 40, & change it to 50.
And there you have it.

A Re-namable Recycle Bin

After you have renamed the recycle bin to your choice, you may change the registary number back to 40 to make it Un-renameabale again.

Enjoy !
