My computer was running fine, my daughters boyfriend was on MySpace and it just rebooted out of nowhere. When it came back up, it said insert system disk and press F1 or F2 for setup...no bootable disk. He was on the XP hard drive. I tried to boot up the Xubuntu hard drive ( it was not in the computer when it shut down) and it says the same thing. It's reading both hard drives in the bios but won't boot. I have tried using the live cd and the menu comes up and tries to boot. I get the live cd menu, the cd tries to boot but then stops. I am running a memory test right now and so far so good. The green light on the motherboard is on and the light on the hard drive does blink. I replaced the PSU about 3 months ago.
Should I do a system restore? Also, I would like to make a copy of this hard drive since I don't have the cd's for office anymore. (they were damaged) Do I clone the hard drive?
