if i buy original dvd of lost planet pc version can i play multiplayer??
i heard i need to make a premium account on steam with my credit card if i want to play this game multiplayer mode i hope this is not true.

Im positive thats not true. I got the game the first day with my brand new computer, loaded that game and steam. Didnt use a credit card at all and it worked fine, it just has to download some updates first

u r wrong i can use credit card to buy and download games from steam all i need to do is creat a premium account they will charge me and then they will also charge me for the game depend which game i download r u saying if i buy the game from game shop i will have stand alone server of lost planet to play multiplayer like fear combat and cod4??

i think i will buy the game from game shop lol i thought the only way to play lost planet online is to buy the game from steam and then create a prepaid account i was so wrong

alright wow, you obviously dont understand whatsoever. What i said WAS! you do not need to MAKE a credit card account on STEAM. You download STEAM for FREE, and you can buy LOST PLANET from a 'game shop'. the FREE steam engine powers the ONLINE play and is installed when you install lost planet. There is no need for a credit card whatsoever besides for getting the game from the gameshop... The Steam engine is for running the multiplayer. but you dont have to set up some BS premium account, and i would appreciate if you didnt accuse of me of such degrading terms buddy.. >:

ok just buy the game from shop and active the game on steam with the cd key which comes with the original dvd
what about purchasing game direct from steam and download it on pc??i tried to download steam says i need to purchase i said ok after that they started asking which credit card do u want to use few different cedit cards on the screen and i have to select one for payment this sux i think i will choose the first option buy the game from the shop and use the cd key on steam to play online plz corect me if i said something wrong

Im pretty sure we were talking about two differnt things. But here are your options.

1.) Make an account on steam so they can use your credit card and billing information, buy/download lost planet from steam, and your good to go with multiplayer and everything.

2.) Buy lost planet from like cicuity city or whatever. Load it to your computer, it asks you to install steam, which you do. And then it installs lost planet to steam to. So then, no credit card needed to play online.

I hope that makes more steam---*sense

it will not install lost planet to steam coz the lost planet is installed on pc steam will just ask the cd key to active on steam for multiplay
