Comment: My System: Intel Quad 6600 @ 3.0 Ghz Asus Striker Extreme MB FSB:DRAM 3:4 2GB PC6400 4-4-4-12 888Mhz 2 BFG 8800GTS OC 320MB in SLI I have better than the recomended requirments and crysis still doesnt run that well on my system and sometimes it wont run at all , but it also says that it recomends 512Mb instead of 320MB for video memory that might explain while its glithcy but the not running at all i dunno. Is that the problem? or is it something else. I also updated my drivers they released for the game and it didnt help. Any ideas?
Thanks Oh and i know this dont matter but my 3dmark 06 score was 16,532 so im thinkin it should be able to handle crysis no problem.Right? XP Pro Intel Core 2 Quad 6600 2.4Ghz @ 3.0Ghz Asus Striker Extreme 2GB PC 6400 4-4-4-12 500 Gb Hd 320 Gb Hd 2 8800GTS OC 320 in sli

Reply: (edit)I'm running the Crysis Demo with an A64 3000+ @ 2.5GHz, 1GB RAM & an X800Pro AGP 256MB. All eye candy is disabled & setting is 800 x 600...I've had very few problems.

Reply: (edit)The RAM speed should be as high as one can set it. I will have to try the demo when I get home. I'm still waiting for my copy of bioshock to show up in the mail.

Reply: (edit)"The RAM speed should be as high as one can set it" Here we go again >:-( 100% incorrect. This issue has been beat to death & doesn't need any more explaining. Hey Outlander, I'm still waiting for you to back up your claim. I'm sure it will be a long wait...it's already been weeks & you haven't posted a shred of evidence yet. I will give you this much - if you're referring to an AMD A64/X2 system, you're correct because there's no FSB, therefore no need to run the CPU & RAM in sync. Have a look at this "Official Core 2 Duo Overclocking Thread". The vast majority are running the FSB:DRAM ratio at 1:1...I wonder why?

Reply: (edit)Why not overclock? Since you have DDR800 RAM, why not take full advantage of it? Right now, your CPU:DRAM ratio is running async @ 2:3. Running in sync @ 1:1 is considered optimal, so you should either lower the RAM to 266MHz (DDR533) to match the CPU, or raise the CPU freq to 400MHz to match the RAM. Try reclocking the CPU to 7 x 400MHz. It would only be mildly overclocked at 2.8GHz, but the FSB would be running 50% faster at 1600MHz (compared to default of 1066MHz).

Reply: (edit)Yeah.... The game's detail level is commendable & I think I'm going to "acquire" the real deal myself when it gets out there, especially with the abrupt ending of the released demo.
