disk boot failure

on turn the pc on the following appears:
"disk boot failure, please insert system and press enter"

i have run "fdisk /mbr" to find out that there is "no fixed disk present" and i`m unable to access drive c:\ which is rather fustrating !? ? ?!?!!?

Please assist in recommending a program which could rewrite my boot sector to i can gain access.
