I think I have the zzb.exe/py.exe Downloader.Trojan problem that seems to be going around right now. Whenever I open iexplorer, small boxes saying dwn or done pop up and Norton AV detects py.exe but cannot clean/access the file. I've done what Symantec says to do but that doesn't help, and deleting the .exe files in safe mode without system restore doesn't do anything because they come back when I next use iexplorer. Also, my system32 folder opens at startup, which I think is a related problem. I have just run updated spybot and ad-aware. What am I doing wrong? I know several people have already asked about it, but I don't want to delete anything crucial. I hope someone can help me get rid of these trojans. Thanks so much in advance.
Summary: Download and run this registry repair and reboot. Do a find files for CMD32.exe and system32.exe and delete them. http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/xp_clean_kwbot.htm ...
