the free version of zonealarm does not seem to work well in winxp. when I reboot with zonealarm running, it does not save the configurations I have made to it. winxp displays the message iamdb.rdb was not shutdown properly and then it uses the backup.rdb I have to shutdown za manually to get it to save configurations. Along with this zonealarm does not appear to be logging or showing current alerts, it only does so when the internet lock is on. is there a fix?

With the TrueVector issues, I have gone to Sygate as a similar software, free firewall that seems to do the job. good luck

Had EXACTLY the same problem on Free version and Pro. Finally after I ALLOWED access to Generic Host Process For Win32 it seemed to save my previous settings (in other words did not keep asking me if I wanted to allow internet access to Outlook Express etc. Hope that helps. Please let me know if that solves it The Eagle
