CPU/Ram: P4 3.2Ghz 1gb Dual RAM

hey

i just got 2 pcs hooked up to the net! took me a while with the settings tho lol! now left with 1 slight problem, the firewall blocks letting us see each other pcs! i can either
1. have both pcs use the internet, but cant access each others pcs shared files
2. no net but play lan games :D

im currently using zone alarm security suite! would any1 be able to tell me the settings i need to use, in order to get both pcs to see each other without disabling firewall :D

Can't connect to computers in your network?

This may not solve everyone's problem with networking, but this is one way to fix a problem if you can't connect to users' computer.


1. Click start button

2. Click "My Network Places"

3. Right-click and click on "Properties"

4. Right-click on "Local Area Connection" and click on "Properties"

5. click on the "Authentication" tab

6. Uncheck "Enable network access control using IEEE 802.1X"

7. Click "OK"
