What are you wanting to stop?
ZA from alerting you or the application or whatever is attempting to contact you?

Did you look to see what it is? Is it possibly an update that you have some application asking for?

Are you running XP Service Pack 2 (hopefully)?

My dear old mother, God bless her, always used to say that nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it. However, she obviously never tried running a computer on the Internet without a firewall and still remain safe.

This is one thing that is absolutley impossible. Your computer needs a firewall just as much as it needs a source of electricity.

But why does my computer have these access atemps and my other computer on my network does not? Is there anyway to make my computer "not there" to these people or scripts trying to access my computer?

Port 6881 is used by BitTorrent.
Some computer out there is using BitTorrent to download files, and they're polling your computer to get parts of the file. This is not some malicious attack.

Do you have BitTorrent installed?

It's not the Java that's using the port. It's your file-sharing software.
