What browser are you using? Have you tried another?

If YouTube was working prior to installing the downloader, then not afterwards, I'd have to suspect the free downloader. Was it this one?

Notice this at the very bottom of the page:

"Note: from time to time YouTube changes their video files hosting routine. So our YouTube download programs stop working. We work hard and usually fix such problems within a day or so. We strongly recommend to subscribe to our free newsletter to always receive our updates in time!"

You don't have FireFox installed?

I have uninstalled the freeware You Tube downloader/format converter! On firefox I have for a long time now been hearing of this browser and the many claims that its better then I.E. ,that Iam going to do some research on it ,oddly enough using I.E. to check out another browser that may cause it to become obsolete :-) Thanks for the suggestion !

What's to research? Download FireFox, install it & see what you think. If you don't like it, just uninstall it. There are a lot of different browsers that you can try...Google Chrome, Maxthon, Netscape, Opera, Safari, SeaMonkey, etc. Many of them can be found here:

I think what Jennifer was getting at is, is this strictly an IE problem or does it also happen when trying to view YouTube videos with other browsers? Obviously if you have no other browsers installed, you have no way of knowing....

Firefox is an add-on browser that can be easily uninstalled. It might be worth trying just to prove whether this is an IE problem or not.
