I have had XP installed on my PC since it was released, I have never re-installed, I have no Administrator password or for that matter an "Administrator." For years I have been making additions and subtractions to the system but tonight I got a surprise. I happened to notice that my time on the task bar although showing the correct numeral showed "am" instead of "pm" and I right clicked it to change it. I was presented with an alert with this message "You do not have the proper privlege level to change the system time." How the devil has this happened and how do I restore things to their previous "unshackled" condition. I might add that I have both SP1 and SP2 installed but I can't imagine that they would have anything to do with it... but then with MS who knows?

Any suggestions will be appreciated

Once I thought I was wrong, now I'm not so sure!

It could be something as simple as the cmos battery needing replacing.

If not, you'll have to wait on someone else to offer a solution.
