I am trying to upgrade from Win98 to WinXP but there is a ompatibility issue with the Yamaha sound system. Is there an updated driver available. My machine is a Dell XPST500 and the drivers were supplied by Dell with the machine details are : YamahaDS-XG PCI Audio CODEC, hardware version 3, driver 4.05.9218 Yamaha DS-XG legacy sound system, driver 4.00.1019

Unless you plan on buying all new I/O hardware I would advise you to stick with 2000 not OS-XP. Updated drivers for your systems sound card should be on the NET.
