Yes it happened to me and I was also worried that voice chat works with XP or not. but I found that if you select no proxy then they will come back, but if your using proxy or behind firewall then voice chat feature won't come.

I,too, lost voice chat. Did anyone get this message when trying to voice chat:
Trouble communicating with the voice server. Attempting to reconnect....
If anyone knows a fix to this bug, I would really appreciate if you could share it with me.
