hey all, although I haven't looked at her computer I thought I'd ask ya'lls opinion first. My sister can't seem to get rid of the yahoo instant messenger. Everytime she starts her computer it pops up in the taskbar area (far right side). Apparently it loads on startup everytime. Any ideas on how to stop this? She has a dell I think a 2400, maybe.

I wish I was smarter

after following response 1 post, you may also try WinPatrol
which is free and will let you know if anything is trying to get installed on the startup (having the ability to stop it) ....a great free utility

Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks
