Yesterday I signed up for a new yahoo email account. I used the yahoo service through trueswitch to transfer all my gmail contacts and email. I also used this same service to send out a "change of address" to all of my gmail contacts. I tested my new email address by sending an email from my wife's email - worked perfectly. I then went to gmail and set it to automatically forward email from gmail to my new yahoo email address. I tested this and it worked as well. It took till late tthis afternoon for all of my contacts and email to show up on yahoo. BUT now all my incoming yahoo email is being rejected/returned with the following error message "Technical details of permanent failure: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 554 554 delivery error: dd This account has been temporarily suspended. Please try again later. - mta248.mail.re4.yahoo.com (state 18). Can you help me figure out how to restore my yahoo email service?

yahoo has stricter filters in place than what Gmail uses. The problem lies in the yahoo servers in that they either found your emails to be to big for yahoo to deliver or that they contain scipts that yahoo rejects and / or yahoo found a virus on one of them and locked down your email account.

Another option might be that the forwarding of the emails may have made yahoo believe that this was an illegal spamming account and locked it down because of it!

In either way, your only option is to contact the Yahoo email adminastrators and confer with them as to why your email account was "temporarily suspended"
