XXClone copy size

September 4, 2009 at 17:02:55
Specs: XP SP2, P4/ddr
I have been using XXClone to duplicate my OS to another drive, for quite a while now. On my most recent effort I noticed that the clone is 2gig smaller than the original OS. I deduced this from the used space figure under the drive properties. I don't understand how this could be. Any help is appreciated. By the way...... the clone OS works fine.
Thanks,
...... john

File compression to save time & space. You can check by comparing the size on the original against the size on the OS once on another HDD.

Check XXClone documentation.

There is nothing to learn from someone who already agrees with you.

Hi Bob,
I'm not sure I understand. Windows has told me that the clone is 2 gig smaller than the original. Are you suggesting that this information may be wrong?
