XP-Win7 Multi booting Remove & reinstall Win7

Specs: Windows XP
Dear all,
Initially I was using windows xp by installing with c: drive but after I installed windows 7 with d: drive however I needed to remove windows 7 from the d: drive, then I format my d: drive through window and comd promt but still I am being optioned to select one of OS as at earlier. This is my problem : so how to remove and delete unwanted boot.ini files or whatever from the boot sector.

Rightclick My Computer & select Properties
Under the Advanced tab click on Startup & Recovery settings.
Set XP as the default operating system and set time-out to zero.
save & exit.

This is the easy way for dummies.

You can manually edit the Boot.ini file to remove all reference to the other operating system but there is a risk you may mess it up & be unable to boot into XP.
