I have this Service that keeps turning off and I get the error in Events, I looked up the error and it says that Microsoft has a hot fix when you install sp2 sometimes it makes this service turn off, but when I went to the web site, of course (they may charge for the hot fix.) Does anybody have the hot fix, or know why it may keep turning off I have it on Automatic and also Server and WorkStation on Automatic which is what is required?

first of all ... microsoft never charges for a hot fix. and if you're asking for something that is NOT free, you have come to the wrong place.
but feel free to post the exact error message and we'll see what we can do, more input is required.
Today's subliminal thought is: 'Calm down ... it's only ones and zeros.'

Like I said the error is ...my Computer Browser Service keeps stopping, I clicked the error in the Events and it took me to Microsofts web site, it says some computers after installing sp2 causes this Service to stop and start and that there is a fix for this, to contact Microsoft I clicked that and then it said Microsoft may charge for this fix so I was just asking if someone else had this problem and had this fix? The error is in the Service control manager error #7023, and when I click it and read for hours is when it takes me to this error message.

•This is a copy of some of the explainations for this error.. When you disable the Windows Firewall service on your Windows XP Service Pack 2-based computer, the Computer Browser service stops after five minutes and Event ID 7023 is logged in the Event Viewer
Describes a fix for an issue in Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) where the Computer Browser service stops after five minutes and Event ID 7023 is logged in the Event Viewer System log when you disable the Windows Firewall service.
