xp/me network printer not working

I have tried to install additional printer drivers, but XP won't see the me drivers. I I've got two machines over a local network, one is running XP and the other ME. Got a printer, hp 670c connected to the XP pc. I can't get the printer to work over the network. It works fine on the xp machine. I tried to install additional printer drivers but it just won't read the new drivers. I downloaded the latest me drivers for the printer but it comes in an exe file which XP won't read. Loaded the printer drivers on Me machine and tried to let XP see it through the network...not a chance! PLEASE HELP!!

Try hooking the printer up to your ME PC and loading all of the printer drivers on it. Then create a network configuration Floppy Disk with XP to be used on ME (Start, Control Panel, Network And Internet Connections, Setup Or Change Your Home Or Small Office Netwok) Just follow the prompts and choose the confuration that applies to your home network.
