Hi,
Annoying problem I have got. I am using XP Home on my laptop and connected to internet via a Linksys router. Other machines, like Win2K machiine and one more XP home laptop conected to the same router and in the same workgroup work fine (can see each other and access internet).
My laptop can access the internet through the router (192.168.1.1), but cannot ping this address. Neither can it ping the other PCs on the same router which are in the same workgroup as mine.
Win2K PC shows thet my pings are being received, but my laptop shows no reply. Other PCs cannot see my laptop either.

XPHsucks, sounds to me like you need to correct a setting. Know others have been able to network laptops with XPH. Perhaps there's some useful info in the networking tutorial @: www.homenethelp.com HTH. Ed in Texas.
