I couldn't download ms java virtual machine for xp because of the problem between sun and MS. So i downloaded java plug-in 1.4.0 from sun. however in some pages i'm getting this warning "a runtime error. do you wish to debug? line... err:java.lang.nullpointerexception" i do not know how to debug. is there a way to fix this problem? i'll be glad if you could help. thanks

if you install the Sun Java runtime.. be sure to go to http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ and download the ad aware 5.83 and remove all the spyware junk Sun JavaRumitime installed on your computer. After you install the Java86x.exe from the link CHUCKY posted, theres a new security patch from microsoft that you will need to download. under criticle updates. after that ur system will run great also Microsoft installs{Alexa} an Explorer spyware file.. ITS SAFE TO DELETE. last but not least.. in your control panel.. remove java runtime after u install Virtual machine.. no use having java twice on your hard drive
