Hi,

Here is what happend.
I think I accidently loaded the wrong backup of a particular registery in windows, so when I shut it down and booted it the next time it doesnt load anymore, it just goes to the Windows XP Professional blue screen and stays there - does not login at all. The same thing happens in safe mode and any other mode I try when pressing F8. Is there any way possible to change the registery files in dos or something like that because thats all I can access. I would really hate to lose all the data I had. Is there any other way I can solve this problem??

Thanks for your time!
Mosh

Put your XP cd in the tray and choose Fresh install. You'll come upon a screen that asks if you want to repair XP. Choose that. I think it's the second screen. Good Luck
