Unplugged computer to move it and it refuses to boot up now. It has a Wildcat VP970 video card which has previously caused a lot of problems with the dual monitors. Computer shows message saying Windows cannot start, that a recent change may have caused this (no change except unplugging and moving, though); then gives choice to start windows in safe mode, normally, or with last good configurations. Safe mode shows a list of drivers and freezes. Normal and last good config show Windows XP start screen and then go blank.
After computer was moved, the keyboard was bumped and it automatically started with only one monitor plugged in, but the video card was last configured for two monitors. Could this be causing the problem? Is it the video card? It was working fine until it was unplugged. Could the fact that the keyboard auto started it mean that it was never really shut down, but was in some kind of safe mode? Help! We can't get it to start, it won't boot from the CD and we don't have a floppy for XP. Don't seem to have any options!

The computer should have been removed from the power source before you moved the computer.
Restart your computer and anter CMOS setup. make sure your 1st boot device is the CD rom
Insert cd rom XP and restart. when XP auto starts try repairing the installation

The computer was removed from power before moving. Tried changing the 1st boot device to cd, then restarted, but xp is still asking for a floppy when we tell it to repair. tried entering recovery console, but it doesn't recognize the cd drive. nothing seems to be working. we really don't want to re-install windows!
