Computer dummy writing here. Seen this issue on posts all over the place, but haven't seen a solution... - When I get to the log on screen, I click on the one and only icon and it begins to log me in and then immediately says, "Logging Out - saving personal settings". Tried F8 on startup to access safe modes and all other modes, can't get in that way. Tried Cntrl Alt Delete with user name guest and administrator. Can't get in that way either. I also don't have a startup disk, so that makes it trickier. Anyone have any advice for how to get into windows so I can try a system restore or at least save all of my files?

Have you tried safe mode? May be F8 at startup or watch for prompts on the screen at startup.

Yeah, I tried Safe mode. Still couldn't get in. I've had the computer for years, so I don't know why Windows wouldn't be activated.
