XP Wont COmplete SHutdown

On my windows xp pro machine when i click shut down it does all the saving settings and there i can hear my hard drive click which i think means it powered off, my mouse wont move and the computer is completely frozen and i have to shut the power off manually. its an abit kx7333r with an xp1800. it has shut down before but it wont know and its a pain in the butt. i tried the 802.1x wireless thing and messed with all the power options and everything. please help me

i have the same problem except that it doesnt freeze........I have to reboot and quickly turn of the power...I've had this problem in 2k and XP but not in 98.....

i tried it but It doesn't work.....But now I have some idea wht the problem is....I checked the different methods and I think it is something in my BIOS configuration :) thnx for ure HELP!
