what size is the origional ram? what size is the upgrade ram and what is it? as far as i know, some slots only take identical ram - meaning if you have 128Mb of pc 133 sdram and add 256 of pc 133Mb of sdram, it will not work. go to belark.com and find out what your system specs are, then post.

Because your both RAM speed is different that's why your computer is not booting, I think you should check your old RAM speed and install new one same speed.

First, if you have a motherboard that support PC100 and stick a PC133 in there, it will work, even if you have a another sitck that is PC100.

Next, if you have a PC133 board, and stick a PC100 in there, then it will not work.

Just because your ram is different speeds, does not mean that it will not work. It sounds like there is something more to it than just that.

3 different opinions. go check the specs on your mobo after you find out the manufacturer through belark.com. that will tell you all you need to know.

Ok thanks for the suggestions. I do have ram that is compatable with machine. But
only one stick will work at a time and it has to be slot one. It's like the other two slots are dead. I have 3 banks of 1. Which if I understand right allows mw to add one stick at time in any of the slots.
Any suggetions on how to get the other two slots working would be greatly appericated
Thanks
