If your bootdisk in drive A also loads a driver for your CD drive, you can boot from floppy disk, at dos prompt type in D: and then press enter. D is the drive letter of your CD drive. This may vary, depending on how many harddisks are installed and how many partitions are on the harddrive(s).
So you may have to use another drive letter. Simply try out different letters.
Then type in
cd \i386
winnt

Install you windows ..

You may have to hit enter after seeing "hit any key to boot from CD" or something similar to that. By the way, why do you want to reinstall XP ? Your Presario probably has a recovery partition and/or a recovery CD which allows you to reinstall the computer the way you bought it.

Are you having problems? Is that why you want to reinstall?

your cd may not be bootable. in this case, you will need to get a bootable xp installation cd or first install a lower version system such as win 2000 and they upgrade it to win xp. good luck
